About The Knox School of Dance

Knox Dance was established 20 years ago in 1992 by Katrina Cichowski. It has grown and developed over the years to include many styles of dance & theatre studies for all ages and standards, boasting a number of experienced, proffessional teachers. We offer quality tuition for the serious dancer, as well as the casual one. We have two fully equipped studios,  with sprung floors,  ballet barres & mirrors at each location. Our school aims for a high standard of learning and development in dance, in a  disciplined, yet encouraging atmosphere. We believe in using positive, constructive feedback as a tool to encourage better performance, and to develop thinking dancers.

We recognise that children have different learning and physical abilities, therefore we endeavour to treat each  student  individually and report back to parents when necessary.  We offer exams in the RAD "Royal Academy of Dance" & SFD "Southern Federation of Dance" syllabi boasting a 100% pass rate in all exams since the school's  opening. We also offer troupe competitions to selected students & the end of year concerts.

Our teachers are fully qualified & display expertise in their area and their attitudes and beliefs towards teaching dance. They aim to establish, and encourage confidence, self-discipline, creativity, and a love of dance & theatre. Together, we work to create happy and talented young dancers.

Many past and presant students have been involved in professional theatre productions such as Billy Elliot, Young Dancer's theatre, Peter & the Wolf.  Many students have been accepted to full time dance courses such as The Edge, Dance World & Dance Factory.
